It is difficult to believe that all the years of focus on work and nursing is now over. As of Dec 31, I will be totally retired. I have applied for SS and my other retirement from my days at the U of M. I know there is still a great plan for these next decades that will will be unfolded as I stay faithful to the Lord and trust Him for daily direction.

Mom what a perfect post and I love the picture. I am very proud of you and all the hard work you have put in for so many years to create a wonderful place for yourself in the career world. Now it is time to rest and reap the rewards of your labors and create a wonderful place for yourself in the homemaker world. Be blessed in this new season of life, happy retirement!
Hooray for you! I am so excited for you and all the opportunities that are now before you. I can't wait to see what you decide to do!
With a bit of planning and a lot of luck (or maybe the other way areound) I will be retiring in 22 years - that number still seems depressing to me...
Thanks Shel and Jessy. You are so dear. I am happy to be where I am right now. Thanks for your support.
